Leite, Tosto e Barros was one of the first firms in the country to apply the concepts of corporate management to a law firm, building a strong reputation in the litigation practice. We opened offices in Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia, which helped us broaden our range of services in order to become a “full service” firm and a reference in the corporate law practice.

Concurrent with the 1988 Constitution, the firm has actively participated in some of the most important legal discussions which arose from the enactment of the new Letter. We were pioneers in the adoption of many of the new approved legal provisions in the country, like the new bankruptcy law and the law which rules the arbitration courts.

The firm was founded 20 years ago, in a small office in the city of São Paulo with four partners who came from great private companies. This is not a long time for a law firm that is now among the greatest in Brazil, counting on a portfolio of worldwide renowned clients and a team of nearly 140 lawyers. “We grade our success on the level of satisfaction of our clients and the professional accomplishments of our team. What matters is that we have established a solid ground and have many years ahead of us”, says Ricardo Tosto.
